Missing in Action

I’ve gotten plenty of knitting done, but I’ve been so busy with work and travel, I haven’t had time to write about it.

First, I finished the Corn Bunting and mailed it off to my SIL. The shower was this past weekend and it was the hit of the party. I don’t have much time to write the project notes right now, but here’s a photo to tide you over:

In the meantime, I’ve picked up my sister’s shawl collar jacket again and I’m booking on the sleeves. I had a long road trip over the weekend where I finished one sleeve. I’ll get back to the other when I get home.

And while I was away, I received my first Sock of the Month. It’s in purple Opal Mosaic, and I ordered two more balls to try my hand at gloves using the magic loop technique. I’m very excited about that idea, but first I have to get the current socks for my sister off my sock needles. Problem is, I’m not sure how long her feet are. I asked her and she told me 9.5 inches. So later, I measured my feet, which are larger than hers, and mine are 9 inches. Then I called and found out she measured her feet with her shoes on! So I’m still waiting for a barefoot remeasure.

Also, the rest of my yarn for my Adrienne Vittadini tank came in, so I have to pick that up and get started. I’ll probably grab a few balls of Merino Gems to start working on Master Level 1 while I’m at it. But I’m knitting-free for the next few days because I’m back in L.A. for work and I didn’t have time to pack any. It’s just as well, I was exhausted on the plane.
