Should I get this?
The Knitting Pattern a Day calendar? Do I really need another calendar? Will patterns be more useful than the stitches in the Stitches Perpetual Calendar? Will the little squares of paper just pile up never to be used or filed in a more useful format? Will this just make my stash worse? I don’t know the answers to these questions. But Anna, there’s a Cross-Stitch Calendar, too.

Yes, I know. I actually own the 2004. Here’s a review: about 2/3 of the patterns suck. I’ve thrown them away. When I decide to keep attractive ones, I put them in the back of the stand-up box that only occasionally stands up. I leave Friday up all weekend, because I’d rather look at the pattern than see their Sat/Sun “finishing technique” (does things like tell you to attach your finished piece to a directors chair or pair of slippers) which is illustrated in black and white line drawings. It’s not a bad idea, it’s just how the heck are they supposed to come up with 260 patterns that *I’ll* like–and really, that’s the important thing!
