Guess the AFO*
(* almost finished object)
This is what I did this weekend, what do you think it might be?

Close-up of stitchy yarny goodness:

Also, I found a yarn store. And this yarn forced itself into my bag:

I have no idea what it will be, but I loved the two-color skeins in unusual pairings. Here’s a page with some of the colorways. And another with it in-skein.

AFO = baby surprise sweater(jacket)via Elizabeth Zimmermann’s architectural knitting brain.
Hmm, I agree with Nancy that looks like an unsewn BSJ from Elizabeth Zimmerman. Done a few of those myself. Like the fall colorways of the Andes yarns.
Baby Surprise?
You’re hosted at dreamhost, aren’t you? There appears to be some sort of issue with dreamhost blogs’ new posts not showing up in bloglines. It looks like I’m pinging when I post, but just not showing up as new. Opened a ticket with dreamhost and a question with bloglines…
Zimmerman’s baby surprise jacket. I recognized it, since I have made several of those. Great fun to knit.
Please help me decipher this BSJ pattern. I cannot figure out exactly where to place the markers. They seem to get in the way and have to be removed to do the Slip 1 K2 tog PSSO routine. Do the markers go right before you cast on #36 and #125 or do they go on right after you cast on #36 and #125? Then how do you use the markers to help you? How many stitches before or after the marker do you stop to do the Slip 1 K2 tog PSSO routine? I assume they are supposed to help you not have to count the stitches in between.
Thank you so very much if you can email me with help.
