Overview

I loved this pattern since I first saw it. I’m not sure whether it was the hat itself or the baby model in the photos. But it enchanted me and I had no one to make it for. I did have an infant niece, but I thought I’d heard from her mother that she didn’t like to wear hats.

However, for Christmas, I gave my sister-in-law a Clapotis and Cap and my niece grabbed the Cap and wore it around. That was all the impetus I needed to swing by the yarn store and buy the brighest color of Cashmerino they had in stock. A few nights of knitting later, and I had a hat.

We went down for a visit not long after I finished and the hat was a big hit.
